Hello my name is Andy Millien and most of you may know me as Turtle. I’m an artist from Brooklyn harnessing my talents in fabrication, sculpture and teaching skate lessons. Over the past 3 years I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to work with and volunteer for @universecitynyc Aquaponic Farm. Since then I’ve started @itwascustombuilt and partnered with @brooklynbuilderscollective 2years ago and @turtletaughtme 1 year ago.. I was just starting to see the light of sustainable flow for life in New York. Unfortunately, A worldwide pandemic, COVID-19, has put a pause on forward movement for everyone. I’m high risk with my asthma but rent still has to get paid. Even with government assistance I find it hard to meet goals in time. Instead the bills pile up, and in return the work load intensifies to catch up. I’m raising money to secure a big van that can help me kick progression into gear. It would make a world of a difference for me. They say time is money and what better way to speed up time, than with some wheels. I’m always carrying and moving something and no matter how big it is, or how far we gotta go, l’ll roll it on my skateboard. The best Dolly Ever. This van will be for daily use. Transport for the numerous projects I create and the tools to get the job done! Whether it’s material for a big project, a big skate obstacle that I built for the kids on my downtime, or even a small delivery. I would appreciate any help that’s possible and of course I’ll do what I can to give back to the community. Peace and Love and Blessings always.
