Community Dance Studio Renovation

Please help us renovate this old dance studio...

In the heart of Ramona there is a dance studio...that sadly, has seen better days. This space was once used as a dance studio, and remained a studio for over 30 years. Formerly the home of Jills Dance Studio and Ramona Council of Arts Unlimited. Unfortunately, both dance schools have since gone out of business, or can not provide dance classes at this time. Turning Pointe School of Dance has the opportunity to help change that.

Turning Pointe School of Dance is hoping to renovate and make this dance studio great once more, and hopes to do this all before August! So, we need your help Ramona! As you can see, there is a lot of work to do. The siding, windows, and door ways need replacing. the parking lot need to be grounded and resurfaced. Every penny we raise will go into making this space a gem.

After all the renovations are done this space will provide a new, beautiful, and safe dance school for children in our community! Turning Pointe School of Dance chose this space not only because of its history, and the need to make it beautiful, but also because after the renovations, the monthly lease of this space will make it possible for Turning Pointe School of Dance to keep tuition costs affordable. And in doing so, more children can take part in a dance education that may have not been within reach before now. The school space will also be home for other types of classes and excersize. So, renovating this space would truly benfit all of our community.

So, who are we? Turning Pointe School of Dance is the premier dance school of Ramona. The directors; Nicole DeWitt and Elizabeth Franco have over 25 years of professional dance and teaching experience, Ms. Franco was 6 when she began ballet classes, here in Ramona.  Both Ms. DeWitt and Ms. Franco have both been ballet instructors in Ramona. This past December Ms. DeWitt and Ms. Franco were able to put together the first true community Nutcracker performance at OPMS. All dancers, and genres were welcomed- regardless of where they had recieved their dance training. The community came through, and the show was completely sold out. This shows that Ramona will support art education, and why Turning Pointe School of Dance will be holding all performances here, in our town.

To make our dream come true, we need your help. Please help us turn this dance school space into a new, and safe location where the families of Ramona can come and learn dance with qualified, loving teachers. All amounts of donations will be graciously recieved. *As an incentive, any donation that is $100.00 or more; Turning Pointe School of Dance will waive the registration fee at time of class enrollment. Just print a copy of your donation, and bring it in.  :)

All proceeds will go to the inside and outside of the buiding only-not to the cost of business.

We love Ramona, and we are excited to be a part of it!

Thank you!
Nicole, and Elizabeth
