On August 8 2025, life changed for an instant for Kelly and her daughter. The strong, independent mom has been left with serious injuries and a heartbreaking reality after a horrific car accident. Her child was with her that day, by a miracle they both survived. The road ahead is long, painful and filled with ongoing therapy and surgery.

Her daughter has a fractured collarbone, with many bruises and scrapes. Kelly has a broken collarbone that requires surgery, left elbow and wrist fracture and a right ankle fracture along with a concussion.

For years Kelly has always made it work, she’s worked multiple jobs, juggled bills, and made sure her daughter has always had her needs met. She does not have the luxury of a job with paid time off or benefits to help in this time of healing.

She is now facing something she can’t push through on her own. With no income coming in, the bills are starting to accumulate; rent, groceries, medical, and her daughter starting her first year of school. Every day is a balancing act healing and trying to maintain the routine and stability for her daughter.

Her little girl keeps telling everyone, “My mommy saved me.” Those words are more than a child’s comfort, they will forever be a testament to Kelly's motherly instinct, courage and unconditional love.
