Hi, my name is JaMiné, and I’m a 33-year-old single woman living in Atlanta, Georgia, with my 3yr old, 12-pound Chihuahua, Ice — also known as Ice Ice Baby or Icey Pop. Ice isn’t just my dog; he’s my heart, my child, and my emotional support. I truly believe he is the reincarnation of the son I miscarried back in 2016.
We’ve been through everything together and I want to keep going with him curling up comfortably in my lap knowing he’s loved and protected!
Since May 22, 2025, we’ve been in a transitional living situation. On June 11, 2025, we officially became homeless, and I had no choice but to quit my job for the sake of my job. With no stable support system, or income our car has become our only shelter. While we’ve been blessed with brief moments indoors, most nights still end with us sleeping in the car.
Why I’m Asking for Help
I’ve always been the one to figure things out on my own and have always been the helping hand to others. But today, I’m reaching out with humility and courage to say: we need help.
• My car insurance has lapsed, and the car note is several months behind.
• I don’t have gas money to keep the AC running during these hot days.
• My phone is off so I don’t have a reliable way to stay in communication off of WiFi. My family doesn’t know where I am or how I am doing unless I’m able to check in.
• I eat when I can, but I go without more than I should. I prioritize feeding Ice over feeding myself.
• Getting assistance with speaking with a mental health specialist.
Looking for work has been incredibly hard without a stable place to stay or someone to watch Ice. I refuse to give him up but it’s starting to look like I might have to re-home him for a short amount of time. He is my lifeline. Without him, I don’t know how I would keep going but I also can’t continue to allow him to suffer.
I Still Believe in Miracles
Even in this dark moment, I believe that God hears me. While I don’t understand why we’re here, I know He’s not finished with us yet.
John 14:14 – “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”
Mark 11:24 – “Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Matthew 6:25-34 – reminds us not to worry, for our Heavenly Father knows what we need.
What Your Support Will Help With:
• Car note + insurance to keep our only shelter
• Pet food, gas, hygiene essentials
• Short-term shelter or transitional housing
• Stability to seek and secure employment
While the price of everything in the world is going up, I know that every dollar counts. Whether it’s $5, $50, or simply a share — anything helps.
Thank you for reading, praying, and supporting us.
From me and Ice, God bless you.
With love and hope,
— JaMiné and Ice
