Turning Inspiration Into Reality: My Path to Gold

Hi, my name is Judith Ryan, and I'm a high schooler and captain of my color guard team. I've been in color guard since seventh grade, and its been my escape and passion ever since. Over the years, I've grown a family with my team and found a place where I can really express myself in ways I didn't know was possible.

Now, I'm chasing my dream of joining the Gold Drum and Bugle Corps- a team that has inspired me since the beginning of my journey. Being part of Gold would mean the world to me, it is such a huge opportunity and experience. To be apart of a team where you can make long life bonds and friendships. The skill and artistry that these teams have inspired me to dream big, making me believe maybe I could be the one that the little girl I once was is looking up to. The feeling, the rush of heart that I get whenever I see the professional teams take the field or the gym floor is an incomparable joy that is unlike any other. But, in order for my dream to become reality, I need to raise $6,000. These funds will cover my membership for the entire season.
