❤️Help Us Grow Our Family

✨❤️'We never imagined our journey to having a baby would include loss, surgery, and saying
goodbye — but we are still hoping for our miracle."

We are Becky and Larmar, and for the past three and a half years we have been trying to start our family.

In 2023, we experienced a chemical pregnancy, which was devastating. Soon after, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and had to undergo surgery to remove part of my cervix. It was an incredibly difficult time, but thankfully I was later given the all-clear in 2024/25, which felt like a miracle and gave us renewed hope.✨❤️

In April 2025, our prayers seemed to be answered when we discovered I was pregnant. We were overjoyed and full of hope for the future.❤️ Sadly, on the 1st of May, I began to miscarry. At 10 weeks, we were told we were losing our baby. We were completely heartbroken.

Our baby was taken for genetic testing, and during the following weeks I continued attending the hospital for blood tests every other day. Despite results still showing pregnancy hormones, we had already been told we had lost the baby. Then we received unexpected news — the pregnancy had actually been twins, and I was now losing the second baby too.
This all unfolded over several weeks and was emotionally overwhelming for us both.

We later had to arrange a funeral and say goodbye to our babies, something no parent ever imagines having to do.

Since then, we have been undergoing further testing with specialists to understand why this has happened. We discovered that Larmar has teratozoospermia, meaning abnormalities in sperm shape along with DNA fragmentation. This diagnosis was another huge blow .
Doctors have told us that our only chance of having a child together is through IVF with ICSI treatment so they can take the good sperm and inject straight into the egg which significantly drops percentage for miscarriage and abnormalities an also for us to have PGT (Pre-implantation Genetic Testing) embryo testing in the UK generally costs between £1,250 and £4,000+ for the laboratory testing, often with additional per-embryo fees of £350–£495. Common types like PGT-A for aneuploidy (screening for chromosome issues) and PGT-M for specific genetic disorders involve a "setup" or "biopsy" fee, plus costs for each embryo tested.

We applied for NHS funding, but sadly we were told we do not meet the criteria. We have tried to appeal this decision for years but continue to face rejection every time due to lack of funding. With time not on our side due to age and medical factors, we are now doing everything we can to raise funds ourselves so we can still pursue our dream of having a child together.

I hand make candles to support our fund and raise awareness for baby loss and male infertility ❤️
Any help or support we receive will mean the world to us. We also hope that by sharing our story we can raise awareness about baby loss and teratozoospermia, so others facing similar struggles feel less alone.❤️

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can offer.
we are for ever grateful ❤️
