My name is Angel, and my 50th birthday is Tuesday, April 28.
For my birthday, I don't want gifts. I want to help feed people.
Years ago during COVID, my cousin Vergel helped me get food directly to families in the Philippines. A firefighter friend of mine saw what we were doing and donated $200, which helped feed 30 families for 30 days. I never forgot that.
Now my cousin Kryshan in Calamba Laguna has offered to help coordinate food for children, elders, and people who are struggling. The plan is simple: provide meals of siomai, Filipino shanghai spring rolls, rice, and juice to people who could use a meal and a little kindness.
The goal is to raise $500 to help feed 500 people.
This will not happen all at once. Meals will be served in smaller rounds, about 100 people at a time, over several weeks so it can be done carefully, respectfully, and honestly.
This is not a large organization. It is family, trust, direct action, and documentation. We will share updates and photos as the food is purchased, prepared, and distributed.
A small amount goes a long way in the Philippines. Even a few dollars can help put food in someone's hands.
For my 50th birthday, I would be grateful for any help turning one birthday into 500 meals.
Thank you for giving, sharing, or simply sending love.
