Turner Fautsko

As you can see Turner is one of the happiest boys you will ever meet. He lives with a rare genetic condition KAND, KIF1A Associated Neurological Disorder. It is caused by a change on the KIF1A gene. He has quadriplegic cerebral Palsy, spastic paraplegia, dystonia and global developmental delays uses a wheelchair and has only a few words all because he lives with Kif1a. He works 5 times harder than most to do everything he can do. He’s had to endure 8 surgeries, countless tests and procedures and visits Children's Hospital every three months for routine appointments if not more. He takes three medications two times a day and needs 24 hour care and full assistance with all activities of daily living. Turner's family always has many irons in the fire for their world, their Turner for items that insurance doesn't cover.

Turner uses a wheelchair for mobility. He had major spinal fusion surgery in 2020 from his upper thoracic spine, through his lumbar spine and pelvis. The summer after spianl fusion, he had right posterior tibialis, gastroc and flexor digitorum release along with a wedge put in his cuneiform and to pins put in his calcaneus.
