Turkey Ridge Organic Orchard

2018 was an incredibly harsh winter here in Wisconsin. Most of us, although cold, persevered through it unharmed and excited for Spring to bloom. For many farmers however that bloom never came and sadly for many more who depend on that bloom, the winter stole their livelihood. Turkey Ridge Orchards was no exception as they quickly realized the devastation the late frost and Arctic temperatures reaped on their fruit trees. While they are not without a diversified farm of pork, fruits, vegetables and farm fresh eggs; they depend on their apple orchard to meet the majority needs of their family and their business.
This winter left them with only 5-10% of their anticipated crop and with that loss their ability to fulfill their contracts, meet their loans or support their dedicated employees. As the season progresses their bills continue to compound and they are suffocating under its weight and the real possibility of selling their beloved farm to survive.
That is why we are asking for all of you to support this amazing family and this incredibly diverse organic farm. For years this magical ridgetop farm has provided the very best apple cider you have ever tasted along with 16 varieties of heirloom apples, as well as certified organic apple cider vinegar to farmers across this country as supplements to their heards. For Faye, Greg and their three children to carry on their family legacy we are asking you, our community, our family, our friends and anyone that supports our small Wisconsin family farms to pledge anything within your means to show this beautiful family that they are loved and supported.
