Hi, we are the Claremont Colleges Turkish Student Association. A 7.8 Magnitude Earthquake hit the Southeastern Region of Turkey on February 6th, at 4.17am. There are more than 31,000 casualties, more than 90,000 injured people, and 10,000+ collapsed buildings announced so far in 10 different cities, and the government has announced a Level 4(Seeking International Help) Emergency. Tens of thousands of people are waiting for rescue under collapsed buildings; hundreds of thousands are seeking shelter outside their homes while the temperature is close to 30°F(0°C). Starting with today, during the next week, the supply of essentials will be critical. The amount donated will be spent on the supply of tents, food, heaters, sleeping bags and pads, blankets, coats, boots, clean winter clothing, socks, pads for women, diapers, and batteries.
