There is drought in Turkana, Kenya which has escalated to a famine and people are dying. Some efforts are being made to distribute food relief, but it can be a slow effort.  I have very close friends, Keshule & Ali Edapal, who serve in this community and are from there.

The area where they have been working has been extremely affected.  What is needed right now is relief funds to get people food.  Beyond that they have plans and the ability to expand their work toward further prevention of famine through projects like community share gardens, boreholes, solar panel pumps for water, and food security.

With $5000, the Edapals can purchase, transport and immediately distribute a significant amount of life saving food relief to the communities that they serve.
