Ryker Jackson Turk is back in the hospital. He was born November 06, 2019, 5lbs 14oz. He is having some medical issues and mom (Rebecca Turk) is staying at SUNY Upstate Golisano's with him and no longer receiving benefits from no-fault. He is currently 6lbs 12oz, but should be closer to 12lbs for his age. He was also diagnosed with Microcephaly at birth. Microcephaly is a birth defect where a baby’s head is smaller than expected when compared to babies of the same sex and age. Babies with microcephaly often have smaller brains that might not have developed properly. This is his second stay here. He has a team of specialists working with us to help come to a conclusion and get him on a path to growth and development. Mom is currently out of work and dad (me) just got let go from his job today. We just moved to a smaller place to save some money and catch up on bills, but the unfortunate circumstances of no income has made our financial situation even worse. Any kind of help in these tough times would be greatly appreciated.
