On December 16, 2020, shortly after midnight, Matthew, his wife Tanya, and their two young boys narrowly escaped a tragic house fire. 

One of the boys had to be life-flighted to Boston's Shriner's Children's Hospital in critical condition after sustaining injuries from the fire and by escaping from a second-story window. 

Unfortunately, the home wasn't insured and the Turcotte's have been left with nothing.
