Turbo, a five-year-old English Bulldog, found himself at Ventura County Animal Services after a heartbreaking misunderstanding. He was surrendered to VCAS, following a fight with another dog, during which he accidentally bit someone who was trying to break up the scuffle. It wasn’t aggression toward a human—just confusion in the chaos of the moment.

At the shelter, Turbo’s stress levels soared. While he’s been too overwhelmed to enjoy walks, volunteers who visit him outside his kennel have discovered his sweet side. He’s a gentle treat taker, a great listener, and clearly a dog who wants to trust again.

Unfortunately, because of his severe stress and anxiety, Turbo was placed on the euthanasia list. On November 12th, VCAS announced their intention to euthanize him the following day. But thanks to a rescue asking for a stay of execution, Turbo got held off euthanasia until Monday, November 17.

There is a rescue committed to giving Turbo the time and care he needs to decompress before starting a professional board-and-train program. The goal is to help him rebuild confidence, learn to relax, and prepare for a loving forever home as an only pet.

However, Turbo doesn’t have much time left. Which means the rescue isn’t financially prepared to cover the steep cost of board, training, and care. That’s why we are asking for YOUR help!!!

Every dollar raised will go directly toward Turbo’s board-and-train program — helping this good boy get the SECOND CHANCE he deserves.

Turbo’s journey isn’t over yet — with your support, he can finally find peace, safety, and love in a home of his own.

Thank you for believing in second chances, and for helping save Turbo’s life.
