Tural's Hernia Mesh Complication Fundraiser

Hello Dear Friends,

My name is Elchin Aghabayov and I am organizing this fundraiser for a common friend of mine Tural Aliyev, who is currently residing in Baku, Azerbaijan. Tural is single, has a degree in Computer Science from Caucasus University, Azerbaijan, and worked in companies like Halliburton, Vallourec, Weather Ford International, and Maire Tecnimont before. He wants to get married but due to his health issues, he lost his ability to work and has been in bed since 2020.

Tural has been dealing with acute neuropathic and nociceptive pains in his groin, testicles, legs, and hip joint areas after going through Hernioplasty surgery. It was supposed to be basic Hernia Mesh Implant surgery but it turned out to be a nightmare for him due to the negligence of the Doctor who performed it. The Doctor did not take responsibility saying that he did not know the cause of the problem and cannot perform revision surgery. Helplessly Tural sought a cure outside of his home country and went to Turkey in June 2020, but doctors there told him that revision surgery can be very risky. All they could do was, give him stronger painkillers which couldn't help him eventually anyways. He is now constantly in bed and lost his mobility due to the sickness and pain. He lost 15 kg weight and the pain is unbearable for him. Since this complication is not common, no one in Azerbaijan, Turkey, or Europe is taking the risk of removing the Hernia Mesh which can alleviate the symptoms. Luckily Tural was able to get in contact with a specialist in Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH and they agreed to perform revision surgery. We are hoping this will help him to get his health back and continue his life as normal. Tural has applied for a medical visa and got approval. He and his mother have a ticket to fly to Cleveland, OH on November 6th, and his surgery is scheduled for late November. Someone already purchased the tickets for him and his mom but Tural needs assistance with his surgery payment. The total cost estimate for surgery is $13,606.05. Given he has to live in Cleveland, OH for another month or two, he needs some living expenses to be covered during his stay. Anticipated costs for living for two people are estimated at around $6000-$8000 including rent, groceries, etc. One of his friends will lend his car to them so they can use it for transportation. All these funds will be used for his surgery, recovery, follow-up visits, and living expenses. The amount collected here can be directly paid to Clinic with the proof and other expenses can be itemized to be shown later as needed.
