On Tuesday, November 10, 2020, Samantha was admitted to Athens Regional Hospital for Goodpasture Syndrome (GPS). GPS is defined as a “hypersensitivity reaction type II disease that is characterized by glomerulonephritis located in kidney and hemorrhaging location in the lung”.
Since being admitted, Samantha has undergone several procedures for her lungs and kidneys.
Samantha will have to undergo several chemotherapy treatments. Due to severe kidney damage, a kidney transplant will most likely be needed in the near future.
Samantha is a beautiful, intelligent, and strong 23 year old with a bright future ahead. This disease was unforeseen and unexpected. Any help is appreciated.
