Hi, my name is Owen Tuohy!

 

Many of y’all have known me as just Tuohy for a while, but many of y’all might not know that I came out as trans in June of 2021.  It was a huge step for me on my own journey towards self-discovery, acceptance, and happiness. I’m thankful to have come this far and couldn’t have made it without the support of my friends, family, and community.

 Now I’m ready (and admittedly a little desperate) for the next step in my journey: Top Surgery!!

 

I’m hoping to raise money to help cover the costs of gender-affirming surgery and the time off of work that I’ll need to take to recover. This surgery will be life-changing for me, allowing me a freedom within my own body that I’ve dreamed of for years. Total surgery costs are an estimated $8,000 out-of-pocket. My jobs are all pretty physical in nature, meaning I’ll be out of work for at least 3-4 weeks. Doggy daycare for my beautiful furson, Dante, is also an expense I’ll need help covering. I’ve been saving up as much as possible but wouldn’t be able to do this for years without the help of my community.
