Where is the funding going towards?
The funds from donations going directly to our film will go towards purchasing crafty food for the cast and crew members on set, transportation and travel needs, securing locations where the film will be set, and film festival submissions.
Please consider donating to an independent filmmaker and film company to make their little idea transform into a big opportunity. Even as little as $5 will go a long way, and will be thanked by our directing and producing team!
Directors Statement:
"Every single creative work I produce is inspired by a song and a concept, and Showtime Ruler is no exception. Showtime Ruler was born of the idea of creative obsession, and the film was named after the song "Showtime Ruler" by Karasuya Sabou.
Everyone is passionate about something, and everyone wants to be recognized for what they are eager about, but what happens when that want turns into an artificial and intense need? What happens when someone feels they can't live if they aren't seen by others?
My goal with Showtime Ruler is to explore this idea of obsession through the lenses of the supernatural. Joshua is taken higher than ever before by magic, but there remains no one who can return him to the ground. An obsession with his passion and being seen to such an extent that he is willing to cheat even death. Showtime Ruler serves as a warning and love letter to creative people of the dangers and beauty of our fiery passion.
It serves as a reminder that we should embrace our passion, but should also take a step back, look around, and remember the people we want to share that passion with and the life that we've formed.
There's always someone looking at us who cares for us."
