Tunnel of Joy for Special Needs Students

This year marks a significant milestone for our incredible group of students with severe special needs as they prepare to finish their final year as high school students and embark on their next journeys. We are reaching out to you with an urgent and heartfelt request to help us create a truly unforgettable experience for these remarkable young individuals as they celebrate their last senior basketball game.

Our vision is to raise funds for a special tunnel that our adaptive sports kids can go through during their final game—a magical moment that will symbolize their achievements, hard work, and the joy they have brought to our lives. The cost of this tunnel is approximately $2,200. The parents are committed to contributing about half of that amount, but we cannot do it alone. We humbly ask for your support to make this dream a reality.

Imagine the excitement on their faces as they go through the tunnel, their names announced, and the cheers of the crowd surrounding them. This moment will not only celebrate their high school accomplishments but also remind them of the strength and love that our community shares. Each donation, no matter how big or small, will help us provide a tangible memory that these students—and us their families—will cherish forever.

Moreover, this tunnel will serve a greater purpose beyond just this year’s seniors. It will also benefit future students in the department, including those transitioning next year, like JT and Barris, promoting inclusivity and creating a supportive environment for all.

Any additional funds over goal will be then used for their special bus that they will rent to be transported for their senior prom. Above that funds will be used for their transition program which will take place for them from 18-22 years old at their school.
