Tumors be gone

Donation protected
Abe is a young father who has experienced far more in his 29 years of life than many of us will experience in a lifetime.    This journey  started when he was in elementary school and found a small bump on his left foot. A misdiagnosis and then multiple surgeries led to his first amputation his senior year of high school.  It turns out that Abe is unique and has rare and aggressive  tumors that can be fatal.

Growing up the son of a pastor in Newberg, Or,  Abram learned to turn to God  and find joy in all circumstances.

It was thought that the foot amputation had stopped any further tumor growth. Unfortunately in 2009, a tumor was found in his left hand and his pinky was removed.  Abe went to the doctor again about pain in his left hand, which resulted in his hand amputation in February of 2016.

The goal now is to save Abe’s remaining hand and test a new treatment that might be effective for multiple fibromas. He may be paving the way to help someone you love.

The pills for his experimental treatment are being sent to him as I’m writing this.

The idea is to suffocate the tumors, forcing them to shrink, and eventually die.

Shrinking the tumors will hopefully save Abe’s hand, and in the immediate future relieve the intense pain he is living with. This first round of treatment will take 6 weeks and then the doctors will evaluate Abe’s progress.

If the treatment shows some improvement, treatment will continue.

Due to medical costs and lost wages the family has immediate financial needs.  This Go Fund Me is to help with these medical costs, as well as basic necessities, like food, rent, and gas.

Thanks to a generous family member, Abe and Katie have the opportunity to enjoy a family vacation to Hawaii this December. This will be a precious time for them and little Caydence and it gives them something to look forward to during these next 6 weeks of treatment.

As a family, we want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for their prayers and support during this time. Your thoughts and prayers are a HUGE part of support for our whole family.  Abe’s treatment will be long term and this fundraising amount is a bit daunting for us to even consider, but life has taught us that we serve a big God who provides, and we have an amazing community that loves Abram, Katie, Caydence, and our whole family.

Thank you all for the support!
