Meagan was born with Treacher Collins Syndrome and has endured over 25 surgeries in her lifetime. She is an active volunteer for a local fire department whom I have grown to love.I am one of the co-owners of Sempre Fame BBQ, in which community service has been an integral aspect of our restaurant. Our Story: One day as I was hosting the front door at church. Meagan Kinney was one of those who I was blessed to hold the door open for. This first-time moment was enough for me to conclude that she is the missing piece to my long-time goal of establishing a non-profit. On March 19, 2023, I was commissioned as a Stephen Minister. Before the closing blessing, I was to deliver I gifted Meagan the crucifix of my resting grandmother, which I carried for 20 years and asked for her friendship. Later that day we officially met for the first time. Our mission: “To Become Twisted and Attained with Deep Love and Respect.” Our mission is to enhance the lives of families and individuals affected by trauma through comprehensive support, compassionate care, and transformative advocacy. We are dedicated to fostering a community of understanding, empowerment, and hope, while unceasingly teaching about this rare craniofacial condition. With open hearts and a commitment to inclusivity, we aspire to empower those with Treacher Collins Syndrome to flourish and embrace their uniqueness, while raising awareness and driving progress towards a brighter, more inclusive future. The funds collected will be used for our start-up expenses and to aid an individual or family in crisis.
