May at Tulsa Ballet in 2019-20

Hi everyone!
As you probably all know, I have a passion and love for ballet. About 8 years ago I decided that I wanted to commit to a career in ballet, and since then I have focused my energy and study around the beautiful art form.
After spending an inspiring summer at the Tulsa Ballet summer intensive, I received an exciting invitation to train at Tulsa Ballet year round. In this new Graduate Program, I will be in classes daily from 9-4, with company classes on Saturdays. I will receive support for audition preparation as well as intense training. I feel that this is the next step I have been looking for in my dance career, and I couldn’t be more excited. My time at Tulsa was especially inspiring because the school is very closely connected to the incredible professional company. Getting to take some classes with the company and witnessing company life was so exciting and inspiring to me, and I’d love to have the opportunity to do so year round.
Tulsa Ballet has offered me a partial tuition scholarship and I have applied to receive more. Even if I receive a full scholarship, I will still be responsible for my own living expenses and pointe shoes.
I am working as a dishwasher for the last weeks of the summer, and I will look for an evening job when I arrive in Tulsa. I have secured a shared room in a house with other dancers and am working on other ways to keep my expenses down.
Even with these adjustments and my parents' help, I need to raise about $5,500 by the end of August.
