Fundraiser for Tulip Tonge's Burial

This is a fundraiser for the funeral and burial of Tulip Tonge.

We are friends of Joyann, her only daughter, raising funds for her funeral and burial in Antigua. It was Tulip's wish to be buried in her birthplace and we want to make that happen. Please donate generously to cover the costs of the transport of her remains and burial.

Tulip Tonge was born on November 14, 1946 in Antigua. She came to Canada in the 1970’s and was a protective mother to Joyann. She made the best of her life in Toronto and was known for being witty, observant and a lover and commenter on pop culture.

Unfortunately, her life came to an end sometime around October 6, 2023. She had wandered away from her midtown Toronto apartment and ended up under a bridge in a wooded area near Bayview and Lawrence. Many people had been looking for her and hoping for her safe return.

No donation is too small. Donated funds will go to the high costs associated with repatriation as well as to support Joyann and her family as they grieve and mourn Tulip’s passing.
