Tuk Tuk adventure through India to save the world

This year over Summer. Dan, Gary & Sam will be going on the trip of a life time to drive a tuk tuk across India from South to North West (Bengaluru to Jaisalmer). The route will be approximately 3500kms in a three-wheeled bucket of bolts with a 7hp motor strapped to it that travels no faster than 55kmh, downhill, with a healthy tailwind.
For this journey we will be raising funds to support for two separate non-profit charities.
The first of the charities being The Ocean Cleanup who have already done some amazing work at designing and developing the first feasible method to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. They have done this by developing a 600m long catchment system that will autonomously drift through the ocean using currents to collect the plastic destroying our oceans without harming marine life.
The second charity is Cool Earth who are doing some amazing work in preventing deforestation and climate change. With half of the worlds rain forest being destroyed in the last 40 years alone some drastic changes need to be made. Cool Earth have found the most efficient way to combat this is to work with the rainforest communities to improve their standard of living. This allows them to work sustainably in the area, building communities and protecting surrounding forests from commercial threats.
Our goal is to reach $1500 and we welcome any donations that you can afford. All funds raised will be split 50/50 between both charities.
