Tuition Fundraiser for Agathe

Hello, My name is Agathe Nyangoma and I am a first-year environmental study major at Trinity Western University which is a Christian liberal arts University located in British Columbia, Canada. I aspire to be an environmental engineer, and hoping to be able to go back to Africa where I want to work in the tourism industry. The tourism industry is one of the primary sources of revenue in many African countries and it is my dream to play a significant role in its development. I am creating this GoFundMe to ask for assistance with paying for my outstanding tuition money. My twin sister (Nathalie Nyakato) who is a third-year Chemistry student and I both attend the same university. Our parents have been our primary sponsors for our education thus far and we both work part-time to cover the other side expenses. But since COVID-19 started things have been a bit hard for our parents and us since our hours at work have been significantly reduced and so we are not able to cover our expenses as before. On the other hand, our parents have been doing all they can to help provide for our needs while also paying for school but the financial means have been insufficient to cover both our needs and the tuition. My sister was able to get a 2400$ academic scholarship but I did not since I had to enroll in an ESLI (English as a Second Language International) program for a semester before starting my undergraduate career which makes me ineligible. Our parents were able to pay for my sister’s full tuition for the first semester of this academic year and part of mine but we still have an outstanding amount of 8000 CAD that we need to pay to be able to register for courses for the next semester which starts on January 12th. I also need to renew my status as a student in Canada during March and for me to be able to do so, the requirement is to be registered in a post-secondary institution which will only be possible after I have paid the money I owe. I would frankly appreciate it if you donate as any amount will help. All the money donated will be paid towards the overdue balance to the school.
