Hello , I am a 10th grade student in high school with an urgent request.
I have recently applied for a summer program with the School of the New York Times. Although I have been accepted, I am responsible for raising enough money to pay for half of the tuition ($3000, about $6000 for the full tuition).
Participating in the program is very important to me, because I will be able to go New York and explore theater and food culture there. I am hoping to gain a lot of experience in New York City, which is across the country from my hometown, San Jose in California.
During this program, I will be flying across the country alone and living in a dormitory with my fellow students. I will be able to grow in independence and self-sufficiency, along with expanding my worldview through food and theater. This program will hopefully aid me in pursuing anthropology and cultural studies in college—by going to the a School of the New York Times, I will be able to kickstart my path to college and study all of the things that I love.
I would greatly appreciate if you could donate so that I can go to New York and initiate my journey to college--the deposit is due on March 20, only two weeks from now. Thank you!
