Henüz 19 yaşında, üniversite hayalleriyle Türkiye’den Amerika’ya gelen; kalbi temiz, niyeti güzel, yüzünde tebessüm eksik olmayan kardeşimiz Tuğrul altınel, geçirdiği elim bir trafik kazası sonucu Rabbine yürüdü. Gurbet ellerde, ailesinden ve sevdiklerinden uzakta yaşanan bu acı kayıp hepimizin yüreğini dağladı. Tuğrul; edepli, saygılı, kimseyi incitmeyen, tanıyan herkesin “iyi ki tanıdım” dediği nadide bir gençti. Henüz hayatının baharında, hayallerinin başında bizlerden ayrıldı; fakat ardında güzel bir ahlak, tertemiz bir isim ve dualarla anılacak bir hatıra bıraktı.

Bu yardım kampanyası; geride gözü yaşlı bir aileyi, yüreği yanık bir anneyi ve babayı bir nebze olsun teselli edebilmek, cenaze ve gerekli masraflara destek olabilmek niyetiyle başlatılmıştır. Peygamber Efendimiz (s.a.v) buyurur ki: “Müminler, birbirlerini sevmede, merhamette ve şefkatte tek bir beden gibidir.” Yapılacak her yardım, edilen her dua; Tuğrul’un ruhuna bir sadaka, ailesine bir umut olacaktır. Rabbimizden niyazımız odur ki; Tuğrul’u şehitler ve salihlerle beraber haşretsin, kabrini nurla doldursun, ailesine ve sevenlerine sabr-ı cemil ihsan eylesin.

Only 19 years old, our brother Tuğrul Altınel, who came from Turkey to America with dreams of attending university—pure-hearted, well-intentioned, and always smiling—returned to his Lord after a tragic traffic accident. This painful loss, happening far from his homeland and away from his family and loved ones, has deeply broken all of our hearts. Tuğrul was a young man of good manners, respect, and kindness—someone who never hurt anyone, and who left everyone who knew him saying, “I’m so glad I met him.” He left us in the prime of his youth, at the very beginning of his dreams; yet he left behind a beautiful character, a spotless name, and a memory that will be remembered with prayers.

This donation campaign has been started with the intention of bringing even a small amount of comfort to the grieving family he left behind—especially his heartbroken mother and father—and to support them with funeral and necessary expenses. Our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “The believers, in their love, mercy, and compassion for one another, are like a single body.” Every donation given and every prayer made will be a charity for Tuğrul’s soul and a source of hope for his family. We ask Allah to grant him a place among the martyrs and the righteous, to fill his grave with light, and to bless his family and loved ones with patience and strength.
