**TUGGIE UPDATE – PLEASE KEEP DONATING, SHARING AND PRAYING**

Now Tuggie is fighting for her life.

She was rushed to the emergency vet and diagnosed with **diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)** — an extremely dangerous and life-threatening complication from undiagnosed diabetes. Dogs with DKA decline quickly and require aggressive, around-the-clock emergency care to have any chance of survival.

**This is a serious and expensive fight.**

Tuggie’s condition was unexpected and urgent. Her owner had no time to prepare financially but has done everything she can — **maxing out her Care Credit, taking out a small loan, and covering as much as possible** out of pocket already. I have taken out loans and been given donations. But Tuggie’s bill has increased so much from the original estimate due to her being so sick.

I’m doing all I can and I’m deeply grateful for every single person who has stepped in to help.

But the bill is still growing as Tuggie remains hospitalized. The final cost is expected to be **between $7,000and $8,000.**

**This morning, we got a small glimmer of hope** — Tuggie was eating on her own. The vet said that’s unusual for dogs in her condition and a really good sign this early in treatment. She’s not out of the woods, and we don’t yet know when she’ll be able to come home, but we are hopeful.
