Hi my name is Alex as I was diagnosed with cancer on 3/26/24 with non-Hodgkin’s diffused large B cell lymphoma. After months of pain, fatigue, and sickness I was finally able to get the scans I needed. Once I did, they found that one of my lungs had collapsed due to the tumor and another tumor was compressing my spinal cord in a way that could lead to paralysis. I was hospitalized immediately and am unsure when this will change. As a fairly healthy person who has never been hospitalized, this has been a terrifying experience. They drained 3L of fluid from my right lung area to allow for more regular lung function. They are starting radiation on 3/27 on the tumor on my spine as any additional time puts me at higher and higher risk of paralysis from my L-6 down.

My fiancé, Nino, is able to work but struggles between going to work and staying with me in the hospital. We created this fund to hopefully take some pressure off of my upcoming medical bills. We are young and unprepared for these costs as we had been saving for our wedding but that money will also now go toward these costs. Thank you for taking the time to read.
