My name is Debra and I'm starting this GoFundMe for my baby Tuffy. He was recently diagnosed with large cell Lymphoma (B cell) and had already started experiencing hyporexia, vomiting and weight loss. Because of this, he is currently being treated with steriods and anti-nausea medication until we start his official chemotherapy. This news comes not even a year after losing my older dog to cancer as well. As you can imagine, not only has this become a bit of a financial hardship but emotional too. Because of the type of cancer he has, they want to get him started on his chemotherapy as soon as possible.

The treatment we have decided for him is administering Doxorubicin (30 minute infusions) every 3 weeks for 6 treatments. This needs to be given with very strict safety measures because of the damage it can cause if it gets outside of the vein. The median lifespan for B cell patients is 6-8 months with this treatment. Total cost of treatment for all 6 sessions is about 8-10k.

I would love to be able to fully fund his treatment completely, but unfortunately we do need a little bit of help. I've already covered his diagnosis and first oncology appointment through our CareCredit account, which I opened up last year for my older dog. And the remaining credit available is just not enough to cover the rest. I am also actively looking into grants that can help him with the type of cancer he has and treatment needed. I know many of us are going through a lot right now, so if you can find the time to share this or donate whatever you can, anything would be appreciated. I know I won't be able to keep him forever, but if I can get him the treatment he needs so he isn't in pain or suffering, it would mean the world to me and him.
