Gatlinburg Fires Destroy Tudor Inn

Our beloved Tudor Inn Gatlinburg Bed and Breakfast was destroyed by fire on Monday night. We literally had just a few minutes to escape after we learned the fires were heading our way. As we drove out of town on Route 321, fire was engulfing each side of the road. It was a terrifying experience! We are safe but our home, our business, and our income was destroyed. Money raised in this effort will go to Susan, Glenn, and LuAnn as they try to put their lives back together. I am reaching out especially to our former guests. You may not have known it; but, these three souls put in very long hours to make your stay comfortable. Susan and LuAnn were in the kitchen every morning at 0700, working until 2000 or 2100 each night. Glenn was there long hours, cleaning rooms, doing maintenance, and checking in late arriving guests. This happened about 350 days of the year. They worked tirelessly for very little pay. Many guests told us their stay with us was their best vacation ever. Any token of appreciation will be graciously accepted in their time of need. Thank you for reading this and your past support of the Tudor Inn Gatlinburg! All donations from this account will be withdrawn by my sister Susan and will be for her benefit and the benefit of Glenn and LuAnn.  All money raised will go toward helping Susan, Glenn, and LuAnn with living expenses and helping them recover from the fire.  Anyone who has ever filed an insurance claim soon realizes that insurance only goes so far. I will not be withdrawing, controlling, or distributing the money in any way.
