Tucker Wittkopf

Donation protected
Tucker Wittkopf is currently recovering from having a brain tumor removed on February 1, 2020. The surgery was successful and the pathology revealed the tumor is/was mixoid liposarcoma. It is a rare tumor, typically not found in the brain. Tucker has since undergone a spinal tap (results were clear!) and a PET Scan. The scan showed no evidence of tumors or masses, however, Tucker is still undergoing tests to make sure the cancer didn’t metastasize to other areas.

Tucker’s Is also preparing for 6 weeks of proton beam radiation to minimize the chance of recurrence.  It is not known yet if he will require more treatment after the radiation but he will have to undergo frequent MRIs to monitor any growth after this phase is complete.

As you can imagine, the Wittkopf family is going through a lot during this time and will continue to have their world altered as they fight to ensure Tucker is cancer free. Randee has taken leave from school to focus on Tucker’s health, appointments and recovery as well as be there for Braden as he copes with all the challenges.

Jonathan and Randee are beyond thankful for all of the love and support from their village during this time. Any, and all, help is greatly appreciated.
