Prayers For Tucker

Donation protected

Tucker was born with a spinal deformity, and has already had multiple surgeries to help him maintain mobility and health.  His family has known that there is a larger, more complicated surgery in his future, but thought they had a few more years. They don't have that time anymore. Tucker has started declining in his endurance and the strain on his spinal cord and joints above and below what he refers to as his "hump", and he will need to have that surgery this summer. The surgery date is July 11, and on June 1 he was placed into a halo and traction which he will remain in up until the surgery. The hospital and surgeon are trying to help them have him in traction at home, which would be wonderful for Tucker and the family.  They have tracked down a wheelchair, walker, and pediatric hospital bed, but a traction attachment seems to be very elusive. Without the traction attachment, they will need to remain at the hospital  throughout the traction . Please pray that they can stay at home during the traction part of this process! They love Lebonheur, but home would give Tucker more comfort and take away stresses for the logistics of everyday life for the family.  This  "Go FundMe" page was created to help The Stanfield's  have financial peace of mind in the months to come.  During these times the mother, Brittaney Stanfield will be unable to work and the father, Trey Stanfield will be on family medical leave.  Any unforseen medical costs and lost hours  of work create worries which come at a time when the Stanfield's have neither the emotional energy nor the time to deal with any additional financial stressors.

Tiny Tuck needs our prayers! His surgeon has been with him from 6 months old, and is enlisting experts from all over to assist him in knowing exactly what to do. The spinal surgery will be a 10-12 hour procedure, and will be at Lebonheur. Pray for all surgeons involved, that they seek the Creator in how exactly to mend his spine without damage to his spinal cord, which is intertwined in and over his "hump". Pray for the effectiveness of the traction, that his spine stretches and opens up so that the surgeon is able to manipulate his own spine instead of cutting it out and rebuilding. Pray for Tucker, who God has already brought through so much. Pray for Trey and Brittaney , as his parents, to look to the One who has gotten us here and to know how best to care for Tucker.

If you find it in your heart and you are able; please do send your prayers, your love, a card, a hug, a smile or a small donation to the Stanfield's.

Please share with any others you wish. The more people lifting Tucker up in prayer, the better. If you haven't seen Tucker's story and you're interested in watching, I have attached the link to the WREG story and video below.

Thank you for your prayers!
