Hello, we are the Pike's and we are asking for a little help for our sweet fur baby, Tucker. He is 5 years old. We recently found out that he has a rare congenital defect. He has a pericardial hernia. Some of his intestines have come through the hernia and are wrapped around his heart. The vet says he could die at any moment. He needs surgery to try to fix it. No vet in our town can do this type of surgery, so we have to travel to Salt Lake City to have it done. The surgery is estimated to be between $6,000 to $9,500. We are just heartbroken right now. I hate to ask for help and if nothing else, please just keep him and our family in your prayers. He is scheduled to have his surgery on May 20th.
