My name is Jessica and my boyfriend's name is Corey. Our son Tucker was born on March 4th at 34 weeks and 3 days weighing in at 5lbs 3 oz.  At 1 day old he had a hole in his lung that healed pretty quickly. At around a week old he was diagnosed with a heart murmur. When they did an EKG to check it they found he had 2 holes and a defect. He was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallout. Basically this can cause his lungs to fill up with blood. He struggled with eating because of his heart it would wear him out rather quickly to eat. Finally after 3 weeks he got his eating down and after 3 weeks and 2 days we was able to finally bring him home. He has frequent cardiologist visits along with pediatrician visits. A couple of weeks ago at 7 weeks Tucker was rushed to Waldo county general and then life flighted to Portland where he immediately underwent emergency surgery for a hernia that caused his intestines to become stuck and lose blood flow. We was lucky and they caught it in time that he didn't need to have any of his intestines resected. We spent almost a week in Portland before he was released and we was able to return home. Now on top of all his other appointments we have trips to Portland to watch that. And in just a few short months we will be heading to Boston for him to have hear surgery. We will be in Boston for a minimum of 2 weeks. So between Corey missing work to be there with us for hospital stays and to go to appointments we don't know how we are going to afford to be in Boston with our son. We hate to ask for the help but our son is more important then our pride. We appreciate any and all help we receive. Thank you for taking the time to read our long road to a healthy baby Tucker.
