Hi everyone,
First, thank you — truly. So many of you have reached out to ask how Tucker is doing, and your care has meant the world to both of us.
Tucker came into my life in a way I’ll never forget. On July 1st, Tucker was found lying beside his previous owner, who had sadly passed away. He had gone days without food, water, and — most urgently — his seizure medication. Tucker was having multiple seizures when we found him, and despite the chaos of the moment, a local vet team dropped everything to help save his life. We managed to get his medical records, start him on treatment, and within days, he was showing signs of recovery.
Tucker quickly became part of my family — a little shadow with a big heart. He’s now 11 years old and has filled my home and Mac Inc. with love ever since.
But recently, things have changed.
Tucker’s become very lethargic. He’s no longer playful, no longer his curious, joyful self. I have been taking him in for testing, and the results continue to be difficult to hear.
Recent findings:
ALT (liver enzyme): 241 (normal range is 10–125)
ALP (another liver enzyme): 300 (normal range is 23–212)
We initially ruled out Cushing’s disease and suspected Fanconi syndrome — but new bloodwork and urinalysis have now ruled that out, too. We’re again considering Cushing’s, but cancer is now also a real possibility.
Tucker is scheduled for a full-body ultrasound. It’s our best chance at getting answers — and possibly the first step toward a treatment plan. But as you might imagine, it comes with a significant cost, on top of what’s already been spent on labs, imaging, medications, and vet visits.
I want to give Tucker the best chance at a healthy, happy life — but I can’t do it alone. If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to both of us. Every dollar will go directly toward his medical bills, tests, medications, and ongoing care. If you’re unable to give right now, that is okay, but I ask to please consider sharing Tucker’s story with others.
Tucker has already survived so much. I’m doing everything I can to give him a life full of comfort and dignity — for however much time we have left. I know that Tucker meant the world to his past owner and I want to continue having him look down on us proudly. I believe he still has good days ahead, and I want to make every one of them count.
