I am Tucker Crowley's older sister and have formed this fundraiser with the permission of our parents and Tucker.
On June 12, 2020 our world was turned upside down.
Tucker and his mom's side of the family were supposed to be taking a family trip to Angel Fire. Tucker had to work til 6, so he and Morgan (the love of his life) were coming up after and staying in Amarillo.
APD called- Tucker was in an accident. He is talking, but Morgan didn't make it. At this point we didn't know anything else. The WORST feeling.
The police officers in the hospital explained what happened. FINALLY some answers. Tucker and Morgan had exited soncy from I-40. They had a green light....as they were going through the light they were struck in the drivers side. They hit a telephone pole on the passenger side. The drunk driver was driving at an accelerated speed. Tuckers seat... the drivers seat....was where the console should have been. They had to cut Tucker out. A witness tried to help, but it was too late. Morgan had already passed. Tucker was taken to NWTH. He has a broken pelvis, broken ribs, a lacerated liver, lacerated kidney, and a lacerated colon. Due to the broken pelvis he was flown to Lubbock for surgery. On the way to Lubbock his blood pressure dropped. He was bleeding internally. After some blood products they were able to stop the bleed. He is scheduled to have surgery Monday, June 15. He has rods in his left leg and is in traction to align his pelvis. He hurts....he is in a lot of pain and is sore.
We are asking for people to pray and if capable to donate funds to help Tucker with bills he will be facing. We aren't sure how good the other guy's insurance was. Tucker has good insurance. But, insurance money runs out. Tucker is looking at major rehab and being out of work up to 6 months. The helicopter flight isn't cheap. The pelvic reconstruction surgery and tons of rehab will be pricy. On top of that, Tucker has finances that won't just go away because he's not drawing a check.
