Tuckahoe Village Recreation Assoc. Fire Disaster!
Donation protected
The Tuckahoe Village Recreation Association needs help to pay for the initial work associated with rebuilding its swimming pool clubhouse destroyed by fire on December 21, 2021. Specifically, we need help to cover the cost of hiring a contractor to clear and dispose of debris and replace the fixtures and other operational items stored in the clubhouse.
The Tuckahoe Village pool has added to the quality of life in the west end of Henrico County for more than 50 years, providing families with a safe, fun, and affordable recreation venue during the summer. Except for lifeguards, all of the work necessary to maintain and operate it is provided by volunteers.
To return the clubhouse and pool property to a clean, safe, and operational condition, the association needs to clear the debris as soon as possible while it formulates final plans for reconstructing the clubhouse building.
The Tuckahoe Village pool has rebounded on its own from two floods -including Hurricane Agnes in 1972. Today, however, it needs help from family, friends, and neighbors to begin the restoration of the property. Your prayers and donation of any size are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
