tubeathon for cancer
Hi, my name is Henry, and I am 13 years old. Before I was born, my dad was diagnosed with throat cancer. This news shocked him, but he fought off cancer and managed to make a full recovery. After undergoing many treatments, it was gone for good. Although the cancer had gone, and the treatment left him scarred, he survived. Others are not so fortunate. Thanks to modern technology, cancer survival rates have increased, and treatment has improved. Even though my dad came through it, it would have been much harder without the support he got from Macmillan. We are doing a Tube marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support to help people get through cancer. So what is a tubeathon? Well, it is my idea. Me and my dad are going to go round the whole tube map over a weekend (not including the DLR or the Overground). We will be visiting every station on every line. It would be lovely of you to donate and get us to our goal £500, and it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading.
