My name is Cameron Jordan. I lived in the Coffey Park area my whole life and played there as a little kid. The fire that raced through Santa Rosa yesterday destroyed the Coffey Park area and my grandparents home that they lived in for 30 years and I lived my whole life. I can’t describe with words how devastating it is to lose everything I own and see my grandparents lose it all as well, home burnt to ash. On top of that, my grandmother has lung cancer and is on hospice care. My grandpa and I have been looking after her during it. Now the fire has taken that one piece of comfort my grandma had. I just want to help my grandparents get some solid footing because this has taken the ground right out from under us. I hope to get that comfort for my grandparents back. There are so many things that need to be replaced, so we are going to start with the basic necessities. Clothes would be first as we only made out with the ones on our back. You really don’t know what you need when you’ve lost it all so we are going to be learning as we go through this. We are with family thankfully during this time so we don’t have to worry about a place to sleep. The plan to get the funds to my grandparents and I is that my brother can get all of that squared away and get it to my grandmother when she calls and gives him the details to do so. Thank you all immensely for donating and thank you for sharing this as well because I know it makes my grandparents feel better to know so many people care.
