Partneriaeth rhwng Capel Soar y Mynydd a Merched Soar yw Tua Soar, er mwyn adfer ac achub adeilad eiconig capel Soar y Mynydd.

Yn dilyn difrod stormydd y gaeaf, mae angen codi arian nawr er mwyn trwsio'r to, gwneud gwaith ar y dirwedd, datblygu man i adrodd hanes y lle, gwella’r hygyrchedd a’r cyfleusterau - a’r cyfan heb newid naws arbennig y capel.

Mae'r grŵp yn gobeithio codi £50,000 gan gefnogwyr erbyn diwedd yr haf cyn edrych i mewn i ffynonellau ariannu eraill.

Wedi'i leoli yng nghanol mynyddoedd Elenydd ger Tregaron yng Ngheredigion, adeiladwyd y capel yn 1822 i wasanaethu cymunedau gwledig gwasgaredig. Fe gyfeirir at Soar yn aml fel capel mwyaf anghysbell Cymru ac o bosib dyma’r unig gapel gweithredol heb drydan.  Gyda’i gynllun syml, ei adeiladwaith o gerrig lleol a’i wasanaethau Cymraeg parhaus, mae Soar y Mynydd yn symbol o wytnwch cymunedol, ffydd a threftadaeth ddiwylliannol ac mae wedi ysbrydoli beirdd,  artistiad, cerddorion ac enwogion ar hyd y blynyddoedd.

Mae'n lle arbennig sy'n werth ei warchod a'i ddatblygu i'r dyfodol.

Tua Soar is a partnership between Soar y Mynydd Chapel and Merched Soar.

Following damage from winter storms, we need to raise money in order to repair the roof, carry out work on the landscape, develop a place to tell the history of the place, improve the accessibility and the facilities - and all without changing the unique feel of the place.

The group hopes to raise £50,000 by the end of the summer before exploring additional sources of funding.

Located in the heart of the Cambrian mountains near Tregaron in Ceredigion, the chapel was built in 1822 to serve the nearby rural communities. Soar is often described as the most remote chapel in Wales, and it is possibly the only operational chapel without electricity. With its simple design, use of local stone and continuing Welsh‑language services, Soar y Mynydd is a symbol of community resilience, faith and cultural heritage, and has attracted the attention of poets, artists, musicians and well‑known figures over the years.

It's a historic, special place well worth preserving.
