The LOST PINES NATURE TRAIL and park took a heck of a beating in the last two floods, especially the 2015 Halloween Flood.  About $700 worth of hardscape features floated down river, including bollards that protect the beach, benches, and all of our trash cans.  A huge wash out has also occurred in the trail which will require a bridge a $600 - $700 expense item.  Hundreds of volunteer hours will be required to clear the beaches and trails of debris, construct a bridge and restore this park so it is again safe for the many people who hike, bike, dog walk, picnic and use this park as a kayak take out.  This park is funded and maintained ENTIRELY through volunteers, and cannot be reopened until we can make it safe.  So if you use or enjoy this park, please consider whether you can make a small donation to help restore it.
