On July 3rd, 2025 Marlon (husband and father) was kidnapped by ICE at 26 Federal Plaza in NYC while lawfully attending his scheduled court date. Before he was abducted, the judge had given him a followup hearing and there was no legal right for ICE to take him. He is currently being held in detention, with his fate uncertain. He has a meeting with a judge scheduled in 3 weeks but currently has no lawyer and is being moved from facility to facility while Jessica tries to track him down. Any funds you all can donate will greatly help the family, and will also help go to any potential legal costs in the coming weeks. Recurring donations would be ideal, but anything will help! For transparency, all funds raised on this page will be accessible only by Jessica. I am helping to organize this page and will provide regular updates on the family's status but will have no access to the funds.

A Message from Jessica:

Hello, we are Jessica, Marlon, Brianna, Joshua and Dominic. I will start by telling you how I met Marlon. We met through the social network Facebook exactly 8 years ago. He met me and my two children, Brianna and Joshua. You may ask me, where is Brianna? She is in Ecuador, for economic reasons, we could not bring her with us... that is what hurts us every day... Now, how was our journey? All of us or rather most of us decided to come and find the American dream for a better future for us and our family .. it was on November 17, 2022 that we made the decision to migrate to the United States. We crossed 7 countries, among them the fearful Darien jungle. Fear and tiredness did not defeat us; just thinking about a better life for our loved ones kept us pushing on.

And why do I say fear? Because as you travel this path you see all the people wounded and dead, and the most heartbreaking was mothers who lost a family member for crossing the great rivers of the jungle ... thank God we got out of the hard jungle alive. And so we arrived in each country always holding the hand of God. In each country we had many angels who helped us giving us information on how to continue climbing and which bus or which taxi we should take until we arrived in Guatemala.

When we arrived in Guatemala, a hard blow as parents hit us when Joshua got sick. This stage will always remain in our minds .. Joshua my brave boy had a convulsion from such a bad fever. We were stranded in Guatemala in a hospital for three days because my son was dehydrated and infected. For a moment we were defeated but God opened doors for us again. They did so many tests on him and right as we were about to return the doctor gave us the beautiful news that Joshua was better. The doctor said, "He is fine, may God bless you! Continue with your journey, it may be hard but it wont be impossible. I hope someday we will see each other again when you're in the United states and fulfilling your dreams!"

After three days in Guatemala we continued with our destiny until we arrived in Mexico, where we were hungry and slept on the street due to lack of money. Mexico is a very beautiful country of good people. We kept going through Mexico until we reached our destination and arrived in Ciudad Juarez; through all of our trials we still thanked God.

Still there some angels appeared who gave us food and water, and also helped us get to where the US immigration checkpoint was. We arrived in this country on December 21, 2022 when the cold was intense and inevitable after our long journey. I will never forget those immigration agents who asked us where we came from; when we answered "from Ecuador", the agent smiled and said to us "why not bring potatoes and a guinea pig?" Now well if you ask me what that is .. well it is a typical dish from Ecuador. The agent just smiled and said "Welcome to the United States!" ... Our joy was so immense knowing that we were finally in the country of dreams, in the country that most people want to be in.

They released us on December 23 into the USA, and even after arriving we were presented with many obstacles. But with faith in God that everything was going to be fine we kept pushing on until July 3, 2025 where they separated us from my husband. My husband is the only financial support for our family because I recently gave birth to Dominic and had to take a leave to raise my son. I still do not understand why they separated us if he kept all his appointments both at ICE and with the Judge. This stage is so hard for us because we do not know what to do; I am here with my two children alone, but I know that with God's will doors will open for us. And as always he has placed angels before me... angels that I am eternally grateful for everything they are doing for us. Thank you to all the people who are worried about this whole process... I hope and long that at the end of the tunnel my husband can get out of that place and return with our dream... a dream that we can still continue to fulfill

Marlon ha podido llamar ocasionalmente a la familia desde el centro de detención y les ha dicho que tiene una audiencia con un juez el próximo mes. Pero para contratar a un abogado, necesitamos recaudar 10 000 $, así que seguiremos impulsando esta recaudación de fondos con esperanza. El 3 de julio de 2025, Marlon (esposo y padre) fue secuestrado por el ICE en el número 26 de Federal Plaza, Nueva York, mientras asistía legalmente a su cita judicial. Antes de su secuestro, el juez le había concedido una audiencia de seguimiento y el ICE no tenía derecho a llevárselo. Actualmente se encuentra detenido, con un destino incierto. Tiene una cita con un juez programada para dentro de tres semanas, pero actualmente no tiene abogado y lo están trasladando de un centro a otro mientras Jessica intenta encontrarlo. Cualquier donación que realice será de gran ayuda para la familia y también contribuirá a cubrir los posibles gastos legales en las próximas semanas. Hola Somos Jessica, Marlon, Brianna, Joshua y Dominic empezare contando como conocí a Marlon pues nos conocimos mediante la red social Facebook hace exactamente 8 años el me conoció con mis dos hijos Brianna y Joshua me preguntaran y donde esta Brianna ella esta en Ecuador por cuestiones económicas no la pudimos traer con nosotros... es lo que nos duele cada dia ... ahora Bien como fue nuestra travesía como. todos o la mayoría mas bien tomamos de venir a buscar el sueño americano para un mejor futuro para nosotros y nuestra familia .. fue un 17 de noviembre del 2022 que tomamos la decisión de migrar a este pais pues cruzamos 7 paises entre esos la temerosa selva de Darien el miedo en cansancio no nos derrotada solo con el pensar una mejor vida para los nuestros y xq digo temerosa porque se ve de todo un poco muertos,heridos y lo mas desgarrador madres que perdieron a un familiar por cruzar las grandes ríos de la selva ... gracias a Dios salimos bien de la selva dura pero vivos y así llegamos a cada país siempre agarrados de la mano de Dios en cada país teníamos muchos ángeles que nos ayudaban dandonos información de como seguir subiendo que bus o que taxi debíamos cojer hasta que llegamos a Guatemala..donde un duro golpe como padres nos golpeo Joshua se nos enfermo esta etapa siempre quedará en nuestras mentes .. Joshua mi niño valiente convulsióno de tanta fiebre que tenía nos quedamos varados en Guatemala en un hospital por tres dias xq mi hijo estaba deshidratado y con infección por un momento nos derrotamos pero Dios nos abrió nuevamente puertas el medico nos dijo que el estaba bien despues de tantos exámenes que le hicieron (no los negamos estábamos a punto de regresarnos ) pero el doctor nos dijo una hermosas palabras el esta bien que Dios les bendiga sigan con su travesía que debe ser dura pero no imposible el Doctor nos dijo espero algún dia volvernos a ver pero allá en Estados Unidos y cumpliendo sus sueños ) despues de tres dias en Guatemala seguimos con nuestro destino hasta que llegamos a México donde pasamos hambre dormíamos en la calle ya por falta de dinero México un país muy hermoso de gente buena y como de otras no como en todo país verdad...

En México pasamos de todo hasta llegar a nuestro destino llegamos a Cuidad Juarez pasando de todo pero siempre agradeciendo a Dios ...

Igual ahí aparecieron unos ángeles que nos brindaron comida,agua y cual nos ayudaron llegar hasta donde era la entrega a migración llegamos a este pais un 21 de Diciembre del 2022 donde el frío era enevitable si un mes después de pasar cada proceso nunca voy a olvidar aquellos agentes de migracion que nos preguntaron de donde viene y les respondimos de Ecuador en el cual un agente sonrió y nos dijo y (porque no traer papas con cuy ) ahora Bien me preguntaran que es eso .. pues es un plato típico de Ecuador solo sonrio y nos dijo bienvenidos a los Estados Unidos ..la alegría fue tan inmensa saber que estábamos en el país de los sueños en el país del que la mayoría de personas quieren estar..nos soltaron un 23 de Diciembre a este pais en Cual se nos presentaron muchos obstáculos pero con fe en Dios que todo iba a estar bien y así hasta un 3 de julio del 2025 donde nos separaron de mi esposo el cual es era el único sustento de nuestra familia por que igual trabajaba pero di a luz a Dominic y me tocó tomarme una licencia por cría a mi hijo ...aun no entiendo el porqué nos separaron si el cumplía con todas sus citas tanto en ICE como con el Juez está etapa es tan dura para nosotros porque no sabemos que hacer si yo estoy aquí con mis dos hijos sola pero se que con la voluntad de Dios se me abrirán puertas y como siempre me a puesto ángeles ..ángeles que estoy eternamente agradecida por todo lo que estan haciendo por nosotros Gracias a todas las personas que estan preocupadas por todo este proceso...espero y anhelo que al final del túnel mi esposo pueda salir de ese lugar y volver con nuestro sueño ... sueño que todavía lo podemos seguir cumpliendo
