Remi was born on July 5, 2015 with craniocyntosis which is being born with the bones of the skull being solid instead of being able to move as his brain grows. This requires surgery at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto which was done October 11. Kara and Pat have to stay in Toronto after the sugery for a week. They have to  go back every month for follow up and  helmet adjustments that Remi has to wear. The helmet alone costs $2,000.00 . This will help his skull form as his brain grows. Sick Kids will follow Remi for 10 years as this cutting of the bone can cause issues with speech.
So far Kara and Pat have been to Toronto 3 times and the cost for young parents is challenging. Pat has taken time off from his job at Food Basics.  Any help you can give this young couple is appreciated.
