Helping a deserving family

Donation protected
Pamela Garner and her family have been through tough times over the last few years. Despite their families needs they continue to open their hearts and home to anyone who needs help. Most recently they gave a teenage friend of their children a home to live in when he found himself in a situation no child should be put in.  Their home and cars are in major need of repairs, we could use your help and support to get them back on their feet.

Who are the Garners and why do they need help?
Pam is on our work from home team, she stays home to care for her daughter Rissa who has Spina Bifida and her husband Chris who has Lupus. Pam shows up to our team meetings everyday with a smile on her face, always willing to fill in or do anything to help. In fact her motto and theme on her facebook and in life is to  help others on their journey with their lifelong diagnosis of Spina Bifida. She and Rissa have started a non profit for kids who use wheels for mobility, including those with Spina Bifida, is always encouraging those around her and talks daily about "sharing a smile because after all, it's free"

The main reason for this fundraiser is the Garner's home is in need of major repairs. Rissa's power wheelchair weighs  450lbs and their floor are falling in, in fact just 2 weeks ago someone fell through their kitchen floor. At this same time, the boy they took in brought his "prized possession TV" from his old home, set it in the living room and the next morning the house was infested with roaches; the TV had been the nesting place.  After bombing the home they continue to find roaches living in their appliances like the coffee maker, microwave etc...as they are a warm space. In order to repair their home, they pulled out the lower kitchen cabinets, only to find the kitchen walls covered in mold. You can hear they are living in conditions that are not good for anyone's health, especially Rissa and Chris.

The Garners have never asked for any help however our team of friends want to help them out this Christmas season to find a way financially to get some things that need desperate attention in their home.  They need reinforced floors so Rissa can move about the home,  a kitchen make over to get rid of mold, replace cabinets, new appliances, that don't harbor roaches, as well as  recently both of their transmissions in their cars went out.  Despite all of these hardships and difficulties, Pam keeps a smile on her face and shares, "Y'all we must be doing something RIGHT when Satan is coming after us. Rissa's ramp in our van just broke, praying we get it fixed before her surgery on Tuesday. " Never does she  complain; she shows up daily with a grateful encouraging heart, always for others.

This time of the year we all look for ways to be generous, to give to those in need. I hope you find it in your heart to help the Garner family pay for the repairs they need to make a safe, comfortable, pest-free home for their family and have cars they can rely on. Pam has been such a blessing in our lives and I look forward to blessing her.

I don't know how much money we can pull together?
I do know that whatever you give will be greatly appreciated from a family who deserves so much.
 Thank you all!
Their life is better because of YOU!
