WHO ARE WE?
Hi! We’re Michanne Quinney and Antonimar Murphy and together we make Michannie. We met (doing what all actors in LA do at some point in their careers)…WORKING AS SERVERS! We instantly knew we would make a great team. We have the same birthday, we’re both ethnically ambiguous & we both love DOGS! I mean if that’s not a recipe for DISA….AWESOMENESS!
WHAT'S THIS FOR?
The NBCUniversal Short Film Festival is a unique bi-coastal showcase of independent, original short films, pilot presentations, stand-alone webseries and narrative content with a writer, director, cast, or theme of a diverse voice. This includes creatives of diverse backgrounds, including ethnicity, culture, women, members of the LGBTQ community or artists who are differently abled.
WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
"PEAS AND STEAK" is a comedic short:
When two struggling self defense teachers find out they are on the verge of eviction, one takes a lucrative but sleezy side job to save their home at the other's expense.
