TTTP Big Walk for Big Issue Foundation

The Turning Tides Project believes that everyone has the right to equal access to music, the arts and life.

We intend to make this right a reality for people with 'learning disability' or 'autism' labels in Devon. The Turning Tides Project is a Community Interest Company; a non-profit organisation. Our focus is on the work that we do and the difference that we make.

The Turning Tides Project takes a Social Model approach.

To find out more about what we do, have a look at our website and get in touch:

Part of the thinking behind a Social Model approach to disability is the idea that our environment, and the world around us, creates disability and unequal access. We want to be part of the solution.

Therefore, we have chosen to support The Big Issue Foundation in their cause to bring about positive change.

According to research from Shelter, an estimated 280,000 people in England were homeless, as of December 2019, with an estimated 4,266 people sleeping on the streets. It's incredibly hard to know exact figures and with the effects of Covid this year, it's even harder.
(These statistics were found via the website below on 16/11/20:

We at the Turning Tides have decided to walk 140 miles between 9th November and 21st December: the equivalent of 280,000 steps (avg. of 2,000 steps a mile). We will count the steps of everyone who takes part in our walks and use apps to track our distances.

We would love you to donate what you can to a great cause.
