TTOP Leland Owen Clarke Jr. Scholarship Fund
Donation protected
Leland Owen Clark Jr. was a hip-hop artist, a dancer, a friend and a mentor. He was also my brother and a "Tabernacle in The Tabernacle of Praise" Church in Randolph. After losing him to a car accident in 2018, The Tabernacle of Praise started an annual scholarship in his name.
This year WCVB became the broadcast partner of the Boston Marathon. I was one of a hand full of WCVB employees given the honor of running the race and I would like to dedicate my run to my brother Leland by raising funds for his scholarship.
I invite anyone able to donate, to do so here. All money raised will go directly to The Tabernacle of Praise Leland Owen Clarke, Jr. Scholarship fund. If you are not able to donate financially I encourage you to celebrate my brother with a donation of your time to a charity that resonates with you. It would be especially meaningful if that charity supports youth programs for at risk teens, an area that my brother was especially passionate about.
A marathon is quite a challenge, you must train to complete the 26.2 mile course. But, as is true with so many things in life, once you set the goal and do the work success will follow. Leland's goal was to change lives by spreading the word of God and I think that legacy continues with The Tabernacle of Praise Scholarship. Thank you for your support.
