Lambda Chi Alpha House

Donation protected
Since first colonizing in 1976, the Texas Tech chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha has never had its own house. Throughout the years, brothers have rented houses and used their own for events, but the need for a house to call our own is still there.

Our chapter at Texas Tech went inactive in 2001. We recolonized in 2012, and since then the fraternity has seen massive growth. However, not having a house we can call our own has shown to be a massive roadblock to challenge. Having a dedicated Lambda Chi Alpha house would, without a doubt, spark growth significantly. It would lower barriers, level the field, and make us more competitive.

But of course, raw numbers in recruitment are not the main focus here. Such a house would provide an incredible experience for the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha. It would be a place we could hold chapter meetings, educational sessions, rituals, rush events, and of course, a place to just hang out with each other and watch games.

Recently, something incredible popped up.  This is an absolutely gorgeous 7500 sq-ft mansion located close to campus. The owner of this 7500 sq-ft mansion has set their price at $300,000, which is extraordinarily low for a house of this size. Our plan is to have four brothers living in this house and have their rent help cover the mortgage. This house would be the very first Lambda Chi Alpha lodge at Texas Tech and would be forever known as such.

Our goal is this:
We need to cumulatively raise $50,000 in two months.
This money would be used to help form the down payment, and to lower monthly costs for the fraternity.

Together we have an incredible opportunity to start something we've never done before. Each one of us are working extremely diligently to reach this goal and any help would be massively appreciated. Thank you.

$1000 donors will have their name be permanently recognized on a special bronze plaque in the entry to the house.

Note: If we are unsuccessful with the acquisition of this house, all of the funding will remain with the housing corporation for the sole purpose of providing a house for the chapter in the near future.
