Hi, I’m Duane with the Town of Coeymans Police Department. Our friend and co-worker, Scott Mullen, is a detective and was injured off duty in a motorcycle accident in Bethlehem. The other motorist failed to yield. With broken bones and surgery, Scottie is on the road to recovery. He is an avid cross-fitter, which will benefit his recovery. Scott is 56 years old, and future plans to return to law enforcement are uncertain. His services would be dearly missed in our town.
We would like to help with medical bills and related expenses as a means to bless Scott during this time and buy him a new leather Harley jacket that he said on scene, “Please don’t cut my jacket,” which they had to do to render medical care upon arrival. He has spent the majority of his life in the service of others, starting his career as a state corrections officer.
For further information or ways to give, contact the Town of Coeymans New York Police Department. Thanks so very much.
P.S. Any funds not needed will be forwarded to the Coeymans Police Athletic League where it can be used for youth sports, Scottie Strong benefit, or distributed to local charities.
